Since this is my first post,I thought it appropriate to write about what I mean by, book ability. as a school librarian I see many reviews and as an avid reader I read many books!!
What makes us like a book, love, it, can't put it down? Have you ever had a book you HAD to finish? I have; several! I've been working in a high school library since January and have been exposed to so many different authors and genres than I normally see in my usual elementary library. I have just finished reading White Cat (Curse Workers, Book 1)by Holly Black.
Definite bookability, read it in one sitting while DVR-ing Dancing with the Stars.
Why??? Is it the suspense? I wonder, is book taste like taste buds, everyone has different likes and dislikes? Is it nature versus nurture? Therefore, inevitably some like salty books and some sweet. Hmmm. I'll have to research this!
